Abstract

This review discusses the book Great projects in the Amazon: the political ecology of socio-environmental damages and conflicts, organized by André Luís Assunção de Farias and published in 2023. The aim is to revisit and discuss the consequeces of the instruments of capitalist production and reproduction in the Brazilian Amazon. Thus, this work considers that the book analyzed evidences socio-environmental damages suffered by traditional peoples, blacks, women and residents of the outskirts of cities, reported in case studies.
