Entrevista: Jorge Blanco

Abstract

The interview presented is part of a research project carried out at the Institute of Geography of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, Argentina. This project is supported by a Research Internship Scholarship Abroad and was conducted under the guidance of Professor Msc. Jorge Blanco, from August 9, 2023, to December 15, 2023. In this context, there was an opportunity to interview the professor and address topics related to urbanization and mobility processes in the metropolitan region of Buenos Aires. The discussions obtained through the interview provide a social and socio-spatial understanding of the issues arising from urban, environmental, and territorial planning models. Jorge Blanco has extensive experience in university teaching and in various government projects related to planning models. The interview took place in the meeting room of the Transport and Territory research group, at the Institute of Geography, in the Filo y Letras building, at the University of Buenos Aires.
