Abstract

Keynote lecture delivered by Professor Carlos Walter Porto Gonçalves alongside the Vice-President of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, Álvaro García Linera, on the occasion of the opening of the XVI Latin American Geographers Meeting (EGAL 2017) held in April 2017 at the Real Plaza Convention Hotel. The event was organized by the Instituto de Investigaciones Geográficas (IIGEO) of the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés (UMSA).
